Need help learning how to use MemoQ on a Mac

I'm a Mac user and am trying to figure out how to use MemoQ on a Macbook Pro with Parallels. I have never used a PC and am very confused by even the most basic instructions from Kilgray on how to install and activate MemoQ. PC terminology is like a foreign language (not one that I know) to me. As an example, after downloading MemoQ I tried to install the program, but I got the following message:

"You can’t open the application “memoQ-2015-Setup-154.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X."

I don't even know where to start here. I'm looking for someone who is familiar with using MemoQ on a Mac with Parallels and can walk me through the process, step by step. I will pay for this service. I live in NY State, but I imagine this can be done via email and/or phone.

Are you in the Virtual Machine? Jul 9, 2016

When you attempt to install the software, are you actually *within* the Virtual Machine? Normally when you launch Parallels Desktop you get a window that basically looks like (and effectively is) a Windows Desktop. Make sure you are downloading and trying to run the software from within the Windows Virtual Machine.

Windows On Parallel Jul 12, 2016

Have you actually installed Windows after installing Parallel?

I downloaded & started using MemoQ today on my Mac. As soon as I clicked on the exe file, I was automatically taken to the Windows side. Your error message suggests that you were trying to open the exe file on the Mac side, which makes me think you haven't actually got Windiws Os installed on your Parallel?

I do have Windows installed in Parallels Jul 12, 2016

Or at least I think I do. There's a Windows icon in the toolbar at the bottom of my screen, and when I click on it what looks like the Windows desktop pops up. But when I go into Settings => Networks & Internet, it tells me that I'm not connected to the Internet (through Windows, I guess). Thanks for your suggestions, but I think I need to hire someone to actually come to my house and give me a Windows tutorial.
