Hello!

I have got a comma-separated CSV file, each value in quotes. It is imported in MemoQ using Multilingual delimited filter and everything looks fine, but after exportintg the translated file the quotes are missing.

Here are the screenshots.

Has anyone encountered such problem or know a possible solution?

Thank you!

Kind regards,
Vladimir

Try opening the csv file with Notepad, not Excel. Excel sometimes does strange things with CSV files. If it interprets the numbers as numbers and not text it will remove the quotes around the numbers.

Hi John,

Thanks for advise. I know this issue, but this is not the case unfortunately. Tried both Excel and AkelPad on both source and export - everything looks like it's MemoQ that removes the quotes.

Actually, in Trados there is the CSV import option "the text is enclosed in quote-marks". I wonder if there is analogue in MemoQ...

Perhaps you need to ask support at support@kilgray.com . They are usually pretty fast to respond. I'm not aware of the option, but it shouldn't be modifying the file.
