please explain Oct 8, 2009

You are obviously looking for some answer, but there is no look-up table for this kind of thing, what kind of information are you looking for, What agencies charge end users? What translators charge agencies? In what field? Legal? Medical?, Tourism? IT?

Come on, a little more details won't hurt.
Anyway Proz has an option to see the average rate in any combination, what's wrong with that?

technical transition > agency price for end users Oct 8, 2009

Hello Edward!

Previously, I had a topic with too much information about this job, but one of the moderators told me to remove the details of the project.
So, what I can tell you more is:
1) It’s about a technical transition.
2) I need the prices used my agencies for end users.

Thank you!

Why don't you ask for a quote? Oct 8, 2009

I am not sure what you want to do with the information, but it seems you want to find out information about a particular project or a particular agency.
In that case, why don't you ask for a quote from that agency for a text of your choice? (Or ask a friend of yours to ask...?) That's the most exact way of acquiring the information, isn't it?

Can't tell you more, for now Oct 8, 2009

Dear Katalin,

As I previously said, is impossible for me to specify more details about this project (Proz rulesicon_smile.gif ). I just need the approximate prices for end users.

Anyway, I think is interesting for us to know these prices.

Agency mark-up Oct 9, 2009

The agency mark-up on the translations that translators sell to them may be anywhere between 40% and 100%, if that is of any help. Below 40% it would be difficult for an agency to stay in business.
