This may have been discussed at some point in the forums but I am having trouble finding this info. What rates would you charge for interpreting conference calls on the phone (involves a training session for doctors on the phone). What hourly rate are folks charging for German-English intrepreting? Thanks!

Hi, I don't work with German, I work with Italian, but I thought it would be helpful anyway for you to know that telephone interpreting is much more difficult and stressful than conference/simultaneous, so I always charge at least as much as simultaneous, and sometimes more.

That it can be on the phone, which brings up another point. How long will you be expected to work without relief?

If you are going to be killing yourself, then the rate is irrelevant.
