Hello everyone! I would like to ask you something: I received a document to translate into English and there were portions of text in Latin in some tables. I introduced the Latin text in the translation and I am planning to charge the entire document, the Latin parts included.
Is this the correct manner to do it or should I charge just the English parts?
Thank you in advance for the answers!

Why not ask the agency? Feb 19, 2010

Why not discuss this with the agency or client who gave you the job?

I have already talked about it. And the project manager told me to insert the Latin. I was asking this because I am interested in the common practice.

Charge for:
* everything you need to type
* everything you need to consider

You said that you had to copy the Latin parts manually, so charge for it. You might want to give a discount if it took you quite a lot less time to copy it than it would have taken you to translate the same number of English words, but that's your decision.

Perfect answer. If you have to do something with it, you should charge for it.icon_smile.gif
