After working in Germany for three years, I am thinking of moving back to the UK in June to work as a freelancer. As this will mean I will have spent less than 180 days resident in Germany this year, does this mean I can pay UK tax rather than German tax on my freelance income this year, or does it depend on where you have spent the preceding 2-3 years?
