I have received a job offer from a German video game localisation company, for which I will need to relocate to Germany. They expect me to propose a salary, but to be honest I don't what would be reasonable.

If I worked full-time, what would be a fair salary for an in-house translator?

I have 3 years of full-time translation experience as a freelancer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Frank

Maybe you can have a look at all the simliar in-house jobs on www.toplanguagejobs.de / www.toplanguagejobs.nl and www.multilingualvacancies.com.

That should give you some sort of a feel for salaries in the gaming sector.

Cheers

Chris
