Hi Everyone
I was thinking about the process of translating a book and I am wondering about the financial and legal matters involved. Looking forward to hearing your comments and experience in this respect.

Regards

Look at it from the publisher's point of view Apr 25, 2012

How many books have you translated already?

How many copies have they sold?

How much money did they make for the author, the publisher and you?

Base your offer on this information.

If you have never translated books before, price yourself so you can get started in the market. Then crank up your rate for the second book deal when the first one has made money.
