I live in France, but I mainly work for UK clients. Therefore, I’ve got a UK account from which I regularly need to transfer money into my French account. I’ve heard that Worldpay is quite cheap compared to the normal bank charges for transferring money but don’t how to go about it. Do you have to go through a bank or do you contact Worldpay directly? Do you need to register with them as a client or something like that?
Thanks for your help
Mandy

Hi Mandy,
I never heard of Worldpay until you posted your question. I suggest that you visit their UK Website which was easy to find: http://www.worldpay.co.uk

Well, I heard that with Worldpay a transfer of around GBP2000 costs GBP9, whereas if I ask my English bank to transfer the money into my French account I pay around GBP25!
Thanks for the link. I will have a look into it.

I’ve been in touch with Worldpay and it turns out they don’t do transfers. I wonder what that translator colleague meant then…

...I didn't know about Worldpay either, other than having vaguely heard of the name. But perhaps your colleague was talking about it as a method of accepting payment (payment by credit & debit card).
