1. After I fill up the bid form, what next have I to do?

2. How will I be notified about my selection for the job?

3. How am I to quote the price with Rupees (since I am from India).

3. finally, after the work is over, what is the mode of payment to me, whether, I will be paid by cheque, a demand draft, or what?

I posted a question, but no replies......... Jun 7, 2002

The question I posted on May8 is regarding an important information that a Translator (a proz member) has to know. But it has been over a month but no replies and suggestions. what is the reason? do tell me. This is important for bidding.

Two general remarks:

- Check the FAQs for basic information.

- Getting a job through ProZ just establishes a contact between an outsourcer and yourself - the business itself is a bilateral matter between the two of you. Note that this includes the risks both of you take (from your point of view, the risk that you won\'t get paid - from the outsourcer\'s point of view, the risk that you won\'t perform).

Wait... (check the FAQs regarding bids that aren\'t awarded)

Through ProZ and/or by the outsourcer directly.

Not 100% sure, since I never bid on ProZ - but I guess that would depend on which currency the outsourcer has specified in the job description.

See above - that depends on what you agree with the outsourcer.

HTH - best regards, Ralf
