I have been approached by a new client who would like me to translate the text for an app and then review the translation within the app afterwards. I specialise in software localisation (mainly apps) but I'm usually asked to just translate the text - QA is done separately (by someone else, or not done at all in some cases!).
I have been asked to provide a per-word rate for such services, and I'm wondering how much my normal rate should be increased by. Let's say that my normal rate for translation is $0.12 - what shall I charge if QA is to be performed too?

Thanks in advance for any input/ideas!

I'd never accept to perform a QA task being paid per word.
Let's say the app is only 350 words but it's got 50 different screens...
It's gonna take you a while to test!
I'd suggest you to charge that task hourly.
Per word is just not feasible.
