A what? Sep 22, 2016

Those zeros should be after the 4, not before. Think it's a mistake.

Sounds about right to me. Sep 22, 2016

Judging by the quality of the English on the website, and the number of spelling and grammar errors, their translations do promise to be amazing, if only in their audacity to masquerade as professional. The kind you'd expect for $0.004.

unless Sep 22, 2016

they are using a quite common marketing trick and in fact mean to say:

"starting from ...."

and the eye-watering price applies in fact to only 0.0001 % of what's on offer ...

One way or another, this kind of middlemen are worse than the plague, just building totally unrealistic expectations in the unsuspecting general public!

This is no mistake. An agency in India recently offered me $0.25. Per page, that is, not per word. The translation space is full of such indignities. By comparison, an agency in "Palestine" recently offered me $ 0.01 per English word. A king's ransom!

This is a Fiverrr translator Sep 23, 2016

This is a freelancer who created a separate web site for his Fiverrr gig. His gig is for 1000 words of translation, English into Venezuelan Spanish. 1000 words is quite a lot, but other Fiverrr freelance translator offer pretty low rate as well. The typical Fiverrr translation gig is 500 words or 250 words. If I were to advertise on Fiverrr for a round number of words at something close to my usual rates, I'd have to offer a 50 word gig.
