Hi everyone.

I've got a debt to collect from a translation agency since October 2004.

Meanwhile, I was contacted by an American agency and they said they could collect my debt. 3 months have gone by and when I asked them if they had any news for me they simply said they had lost all the documents I had sent to them, so I told them to forget it.

I'm looking for a reliable debt collecting agency - preferably one that doesn't charge a lot to collect the debt :0) and one with the system "no pay no fees".

What agencies do you suggest?

Thank you in advance,
Ivana

I'd go with a local attorney.

i'd suggest Oct 7, 2005

1/ look in hr country of non-payer.
2/ and consider that you are not in the country of the non-payer - you may not get anything at the end, or the whole issue won't be worth bothering (i mean your charges might get over the claimed amount).
3/ consider to advise non-payer that you will notify about the case the Ministry of Taxation and Revenue (whatever the name is) in the country of the non-payer, and actually do it if still non-paid... My guess it might do the trickicon_smile.gif)

And informthe local translation assoc as well.
I mean do not loose more money (on fees and charges)....

Make sure... Oct 7, 2005

Make sure that the Debt Collection Agency is in the same geographical region as the company..that is very important. If for the US, use an in-state agency.

Good luck.
