I would not use it from any country any more Jun 25, 2007

And the clients to whom I explained the reasons now pay me via Moneybookers, MoneyGram, or wire transfer.

See if solution for Brazil works Jun 28, 2007

It is impossible to withdraw money - at least legally - from PayPal in Brazil too. I won't go into all the irrelevant details here.

However yesterday I tried to transfer funds from PayPal to my checking account in Brazil, and it worked!

Some agencies/clients will not use Ikobo, Moneygram, nor Western Union to pay translators because these are intended for transfering money between individuals, not involving companies, which may cause trouble in their accounting. It seems that only PayPal got it covered. So, if Xoom works for Egypt, you've got the solution.
