Hi!



I\'m seriously considering going into freelance translation on a fulltime basis, but would like to get some advice from those who know the industry.



How big is the market for Spanish (LA/Euro) to English (USA) translations?



What is an average annual income for a fulltime freelance SP>EN freelance translator? Or a per word rate?

Demand in SpEn is the greatest in the translation industry. So is supply. So the field is competitive.



As for income, I have seen various figures (see the US census, for example) and the range is quite large. If it is any indication, a book titled \'How to make $80,000 per year as a freelance translator\' (written by Alex Eames) sells fairly well. (see http://www.translortips.com)
