Thank you for that tip.
I've installed the font and tried it out - it looks good in body text. Has a nice, friendly 'feel' to it. For headers, I will still use other fonts, but for regular print, this is great.

The font, however, is of limited use, as it has only a limited coverage of Latin, and other scripts are not supported.

You're right - I guess it's still being developed, but it's an interesting idea and would be worth it, if it does work out!

This font would only save ink if newspapers and book publishers start to use it extensively. It does not save ink on screen, in pdfs or in emails, so there is no use for me, because I never print out translations, only invoices, and my ink cartridge lasts and lasts and lasts...

it's an interesting idea and would be worth it, if it does work out!
Most modern printers have:
a) economic mode of printing;
b) print multiple pages per sheet.
Those options are real ink savers that can work with any font.

I think that news and book printers have a different approach to saving ink: they are using new screening methods that save ink while improving the quality of the image and preserving their customers' creative options. I honestly don't see the use of this type of solution in large-scale printing.
As for personal printing, all modern personal printers have an economy-printing mode which saves lots of ink/toner and time. We always use that for all documents, without having to change any fonts.
To me, this font business is just viral advertising for Spranq, actually an advertising firm. So they do their job quite well, exploiting the general desire of doing good.
(BTW: I did install and try the font; the results are like those of the printer's economy mode.)

That's absolutely right. My laser printer is set to econo mode by default.
Also, I do most of my work on existing documents. I do like to print out the source document, but changing the font would more than likely wreck the layout.
I prefer to turn the heat down at home and take the tram to work.

I meant public transport in general... I take the tram mostly, so that was the first thing that came to my mind.
As to printing the source document - I simply see the text better on paper. Maybe I'm old fashioned this way.
It's not even a question of dual monitors. I simply work better when I have the printout in front of me.
