It is not comedy and it is a good movie. I watched most movies starring Tom Hanks and the worst among them was Charlie Wilson's War. It was so boring that I couldn't finish the movie. | | | aronakos United States Local time: 19:18 English to Hungarian + ...
The worst movie I've ever seen - at least half way - was Matrix. I had to leave the theater. The other one was Four Weddings and a Funeral - it was so boring. My husband can't stand Pulp Fiction, on the other hand, I love it | | | David Russi United States Local time: 19:18 English to Spanish + ... Too many to name | Oct 13, 2009 |
Leaving aside any number of 50s B movies: Meet the Spartans: 10 minutes did it for me Ernest Goes to War (several were made, all are unwatchable) Dumb and Dumber (and sequels): my daughters love this one, I have never been able to sit through more than half Dr Seuss movies with people Wild Wild West I did like Pulp Fiction, but it is not a movie to watch more than a couple of times. I have hated other Tarantino movies, like Kill Bill (5 minutes), and the most recent one that most people seem to rave about (didn't hate it, but it left me lukewarm). I mildly enjoyed Terminal, but one showing was enough. The Matrix was a great movie, I wish they had never made the other two...

There are many bad movies, but this one was the worst. The movie got a lot of attention from the media, and succeeded in advertising that this movie is scary and the best, but IMO, the most boring and nauseating movie. The movie itself was empty in contents, and I couldn't stand the hand-held camera and got sick watching it where I had to close my eyes not to watch to overcome my motion sickness from watching a movie.

I am very sorry to disagree with the Academy but why on earth did they award Penelope Cruz as all she does is yell in spanish? Exactly the two movies I was going to quote...Waterworld is...no comment, and I didn't even stand Vicky Christina until the end. Let me add Matrix, Lost in Translation and Eyes Wide Shut...I never understood why "everyone" loved those movies???

[Modifié le 2009-10-13 05:03 GMT] [Modifié le 2009-10-13 05:06 GMT] It's a matter of taste. I absolutely love LOST IN TRANSLATION, and a movie most of my friends seem to hate with a passion: REMAINS OF THE DAY. And this may surprise some of you guys, but I've never understood why so many people like the CLOCKWORK ORANGE. I saw it and thought it was terribly boring. But you know what they say... there's just no accounting for taste.

Definitely the one that bored me to the limit was Life Aquatic with Bill Murray. I generally like Bill Murray, but honestly this one was unbearable. It is terrible when someone tries to be funny and instead gets pathetic.

Me too - in fact I couldn't say if it was boring or not because I actually had to leave the theatre, I thought I was going to be sick. It was completely unwatchable (and I don't even suffer from car or sea sickness). As for worst, if we're talking about mainstream then my award for the worst Oscar winner has to go to Shakespeare in Love: dull, leaden and WAY too long. Other dishonourable mentions for films I've watched the whole way through include Basic Instinct (all that fuss over a glimpse of pubic hair) and Le Pornographe (pornography trying to be anguished art and failing to have any interest as either). And one I walked out of: Any Given Sunday. I realised during the interval that I couldn't give a monkeys about any of the characters or what happened to them, so I decided not to waste another hour of my life and left the cinema. | | | Gianni Pastore Italy Local time: 03:18 Member (2007) English to Italian TOPIC STARTER Movie sickness | Oct 13, 2009 |

Then still during my arty phase, we went to see some Japanese film with interminable battle scenes and had ex asleep on one shoulder and sister in law on the other, can't even remember the name of the film but it is apparently a masterpiece. Anything labelled British comedy, and particularly rom-coms. Now I just go to anything with Denzel Washington in it - does what it says on the tin. | | | Sickness and sickness | Oct 13, 2009 |

Running around with a handheld camera is never good BTW, the story was also kind of... oh, well, what storyline? Now something very special: 7 Zwerge by Otto Waalkes. My family loves it and I couldn't even stand the first 5 minutes. Luckily I hadn't spent any money on a movie ticket. Another one of the "I don't like" section: The Skeleton Key. *brrr* And well, to be completely honest: Harry Potter I-... I love the books. But the movies are just not made for me. Sorry, I tried. I did. And I just watched because some of my favourite actors had a role in them.

And another thing | Oct 13, 2009 |
Not actually the worst film I've ever seen, but having gone to see Inglourious Basterds this weekend I'd like to nominate Brad Pitt for the worst performance ever given by an A-list actor in a big-budget film. If I'd been Tarantino I'd have re-shot all his scenes with someone who wasn't as hopelessly miscast - Hugh Grant, perhaps, or Danny De Vito. Or even Shirley Temple. The result couldn't have been any worse.
