Loved the letter from the Chairman Nov 21, 2003

Our new “Promise to Try” is a commitment to be really strongly focused on trying harder in every aspect of our business. From attempting not to strand you in Galveston to trying to find out where our prank-loving baggage handlers sent your roll-away, you’ll get the distinct impression we are doing something about it.

Yeah.
I'm now going to check out the Lost Luggage section, just to see.;-)
Thanks Ralf!!
N.

Great marketing... Nov 21, 2003

I actually found this in the Wall Street Journal Online Edition... You probably found out by yourself, but just in case: the whole thing is a spoof set up for marketing purposes by Alaska Airlines. As the WSJ put it, the only thing Alaska Airlines needs to make sure is that it doesn't perform like "Skyhigh"...

Glad you liked it - cheers, Ralf

Lovely airline... Nov 21, 2003

After checking the website out yesterday, I was just going to ask if this can possibly be a 'real' airline (too honest to be one:)), but now I see Ralf has already provided the answer...
Thanks for laughs!icon_smile.gif

Great Nov 21, 2003

Dear Ralf,

Really great indeed. I love the "employee of the month" and the "seat challenge".

Greetings
Anett Kiefer

Super! Nov 21, 2003

Probably the most important sentence:

"We reserve the right to refuse service to people who ask for things."

Thanks for this tip!

Try Booking a flight.... Nov 22, 2003

It's hilarious. You get four hour stop overs in the middle of nowhere and I would hate to have to land the plane on a couple of the mountain top airports they claim they useicon_smile.gif

"If you haven't got twenty-four hours to spare to get from coast to coast - you could always try Alaska airways" - what a great line.

LOL,

Berni
