What is your favorite TV channel?

My fav TV channel is SBS, the only channel that has programmes in more than 30 languages in Australia!

It also has a lot of good documentaries during primetime, which broaden your knowledge about what is going on now.

BR-Alpha Mar 16, 2004

BR-Alpha, a German channel where they talk about science and astronomy and the like on prime time as if ratings don't exist.

It's PBS for me. They're still better than the Travel Channel, Discovery and all the other cable channels which tend to go tawdry for ratings.

Now there's a petition circulating to get France's TV5 here in Austin TX. Easy to explain but hard to believe that sort of broadcasting is still uncommon here. In my dream world, every channel is in a different language.

Al though I do not know french, I love the movies, a lot get sub titled and I watch a good deal of these. Only thing there is no programme printed anywhere and I have to be alert. I love the clothes and the elegance of the French women.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Mar 16, 2004

I love nature (you have seen that in my forums on Latin America and Argentina), and without ignoring the value of other channels, I am very fond of National Geographic.

This German/French - French/German TV Channel is the best one I ever seen !

Born from a joint venture between French and German governments 25 years ago, it is essentially a "culture" TV.

Who said that "culture" is "boring" !...

You can find this channel on the satellite "Astra" in both languages , german or french.

History Channel Mar 17, 2004

I have become very interested on the History Channel lately. I have learnt some interesting things there. The only bad thing is that I do not have much time to watch TV, it only happens maybe once a month or so.

CHECK WITH YOUR CABLE TV COMPANY Mar 17, 2004

HBO is available in Argentina as a premium package, so it should be available in Italy also. I am sure that Direct TV has it.

Sony, Warner Bros., History Channel and the movie channels HBO, Cinecanal etc.
I'm a TV lover, I've learned so many things from all kinds of pragrams; those who say that watching TV is a waste of time are wrong in my book.
