Do you mean the movie? Feb 24, 2005

"The Birdcage" = "Klatka dla ptaków" in Polish.

The movie title was "Ptaèí klec". In English it's "The Birdcage" (without space).

If 'EU languages' refers also to candidate countries, Croatian translation was "Krletka".

If you are referring to a film directed by ANTHONY MINGHELLA, then the official translation is:

Madárfészek (literally: Bird's nest)

In general sense, however, the right word is "madárkalitka".

"The Birdcage", if it's the film title Feb 24, 2005

This title was not translated for the Danish market. Literally translated, it would be "fugleburet" in Danish.

Movie titles are usually left untranslated in Dutch, but if I had to come up with a translation, it would be "De vogelkooi"

Indeed, if you refer to the (american) movie title, it should be translated as "putnu būris", as my colleague has indicated. In the previous forum offtopic where only the Spanish version was given I translated it literally as I had no idea it was actually related to this movie.icon_smile.gif
