Seems so, according to the "FAZ" - or perhaps the author, Theodor Stemmler, is trying to start yet another "Day," as it is the birthday of Edward Lear, one of the limerick's progenitors (May 12, 1812). Stemmler's article (on the last page) ends up being more sad than funny - that was Lear's lot in life apparently.

A diner, while dining at Crewe,
Found a rather large mouse in his stew.

I like limericks, but I'm not keen on those by Edward Lear.
A limerick writer called Lear
Wrote limericks badly, I fear.
The beginning was fine,
But he'd end the last line
With the end of the first one. Oh dear!

ze produceert zonder problemen even een limerick.

Something wrong with my computer, or is this common?
a translator form Kettering was very quick
and skilful to create a limerick
but when you'd click the first link of her profile, you'd think "what's all this?"
because you see ... your own phiz
won't that make you sick?

the complications just as always're making me sheep.

and again it rang and I felt bore
