For those of you who care about and would like to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina by sending even a small monetary donation:

http://www.redcross.org/

http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/

http://www.networkforgood.org/

http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=18473

The last link is to a press release and there is a whole list of links on that page.

Additional Organizations Sep 2, 2005

Thank you for your message. There are many other organizations in addition to the few you noted above that are participating in the relief effort and I have included the link below for anyone interested.

http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/citizenship/giving/agencies.asp

This list, as it states, is not complete but might be a good starting point for anyone wishing to contribute. As of tonight, the Red Cross' website indicated that they have already raised in excessive of 14 million but with all the devastation in Lousiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, I can't imagine that that is even close to enough to bring any semblance of normalcy back to the lives of these people, many of whom have not had access to food, water and sanitary facilities for days. My thoughts are with anyone whose family and friends have been afflicted by this diaster.
