True Love, by Pat Benatar Mar 26, 2006

That one is always a favorite, but now I also like Shakira's Oral Fixation volume II.

I couldn't work without music....

Cheers!

On a whim... Mar 26, 2006

... I recently bought the soundtrack to FRIDA, the movie. Loving it!

Staying with the soundtracks, the soundtrack for TSOTSI, which recently won Africa's first Oscar for a feature film, is amazing too.

@ Rufino - that Shakira album is great ;o)

Aerial - Kate Bush Mar 26, 2006

The mistress of white magic is back. A very lyrical album devoted mostly to her son.

I've talked to Kate Bush fans who don't like it, but I find it very soothing and enjoyable.

My three current favorites Mar 26, 2006

Dave Mathews Band - Weekend on the rocks - 8 cds of music makes me feel like I am getting my money's worth

The Offspring - Smash - It's an oldie, but definetly a goodie.

The Clash - The Essential Clash

Best,
Justin

Amused to Death (Roger Waters)

What about yours, Giovanni?

What about me? Mar 26, 2006

mmmmmmm.... well, I have quite an unorthodox musical taste, if I can put it this way. I like everything alternative, with a little inclination towards prog/doom/death metal when I'm feeling a bit moody....

At the moment, I'm feeling moody (I'm translating printer cartridges...), so I'm listening to My Dying Bride's Song of Darkness, Words of Light, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because it really is heavy, in every sense of the word (there is a lot of growling...).

Prog stuff... Porcupine Tree's Deadwing, or Death Cab for Cutie's Plans as far as indie is concerned. But I have too many favourite bands to name them all.

Thanks for asking... but I bet you didn't expect this....

Giovanni

Another James Blunt fan :) Mar 26, 2006

My favorite at the moment:

Back to Bedlam - James Blunt
I can't get enough of his beautiful voice.

And what I'm currently playing (it calms me, so I can work properly):
Soundtrack album for 28 days later...
It includes music by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, specially the song East Hastings, which I absolutely love. Also, Brian Eno, and the haunting vocals of Perri Alleyne.

I was a bit of headbanger myself ages ago... and I still have many albums I listen to when I am pxxxxd off, and it's VERY loud/angry stuff (System of a Down to name one).

New Placebo Mar 26, 2006

Awesome album, released a couple of days ago, breathtaking music.

Besides that I love Muse "Absolution" and "Vapen och Ammunition" of the best swedish band out there, Kent.

I've had "King without a crown" in my computer playlist for the last couple weeks. Can't get enough of it, great pick Stefanie!

Giovanni, my friend is a huge prog fan and would suggest Planet X (Tony MacAlpine).
