Hi I need your help (only of some of you, not everybody) I had a free e-fax number for 3 or 4 years and it worked fine. See more Hi I need your help (only of some of you, not everybody) I had a free e-fax number for 3 or 4 years and it worked fine. I decided to invest in a paying account in order to be able to send faxes and I could send faxes, but I can't receive. When I switched, I asked for a Chilean number while my free one was in North America. What I didn't know was that as soon as I switched to the paying number the free one was removed. I had expected to be able to tell my clients to use one or the other depending on their country. O.K. I can deal with that, the problem is that nobody has been able to send me a fax yet. I suppose that if my clients are able to call me by phone they should be also able to send me a fax. I have spent hours on the phone with the support service, they send me test faxes that I receive fine, but I'd prefer to receive my clients'. Today they told me to add two zeros before my number, but I think that that is because some countries have their IDD prefix that is 00, not the same for all the countries. If some of you can send me a fax with your e-mail address I will acknowledge receipt by e-mail and I'll ask you what you did to be able to manage to do it. I can't ask my clients to experiment with different numbers when they are sending a P.O. Thanks in advance for your help, I'll keep you posted here. My fax number is +56 (country)+2 (city) + 2997547 Claudia ▲ Collapse
Rosa Maria Duenas Rios (X) Local time: 15:20 Hola Claudia | Jul 28, 2006 |

I suppose that it's of some help, as the Support service asked me what was the message that people got. Next time I spend an hour on the phone with them I'll tell them that. Can you tell me the numbers you dialed up? Thanks Claudia

mediamatrix (X) Local time: 15:20 Spanish to English + ... IDD code information ... | Jul 28, 2006 |
Hi Claudia, You can use this http://www.countrycallingcodes.com to find out what IDD should be used to call from any country *to* Chile. For example, from the US or Canada, the code is 011 (56 2 etc.) From Mexico it is 00 (56 2 etc.), and 00 also applies to most (perhaps all) of Europe. HTH MediaMatrix
Hi Claudia, From Greece the prefix is "00" (and from any country in Europe I believe). I just sent you a blank fax. If you received it, then it works from here. Hope you have solved your problem by now. Nadia

I'd just need a test from the U.S. now. You're great, I knew that, that's why I decided to ask for help here. Nadia, are you sure it was a blank page? It looks like an invoice! Claudia
Successful from Canada (should be same as U.S.A.) | Jul 29, 2006 |
Hello Claudia, I dialed 5622997547 from my fax service, and I am pretty sure they automatically add on the 011. Whenever I have to make international calls, I always add 011 before the remainder of the number. It should be the same rule for the United States. I hope you received it! Best regards, Russell

Yes, I received it! You mean that you didn't dial 00 nor 011? Thanks Claudia
