In Bosnia/Sarajevo, how would a road sign read that is pointing ahead to the town of Sarajevo?

Would it just read as "Sarajevo" in English or would it read in another language

"Sarajevo" is Bosnian too and all road signs would read Sarajevo.

Language used on road signs Aug 23, 2006

Thanks for the reply... Would the language used on the road signs be English or Cyrillic? I can't remember, do Bosnian and Croatian use the Cyrillic alphabet or the latin one? And would both languages be used (assume the sign is near the border) or just the English version?

Thanks,
Julia

Latin Aug 23, 2006

They use Latin alphabet but even in Serbia, where Cyrillic is an official alphabet, road signs are written in Latin or both, Cyrillic and Latin.

САРАЈЕВО - just for your reference, this is what it looks like in Cyrillic

Cyrillic Aug 23, 2006

If you drive throught the Republic of Srpska (part of B&H) be aware that in some parts road signs are sometimes only in Cyrillic. But since Branka wrote it, it wont be problem to reach Сарајево.
