Now that we've begun, there'll be no end to these!!!

. How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

The correct answer is: Open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe, and close the door. This question tests whether you tend to do simple things in an overly complicated way.

2. How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

Did you say, open the refrigerator, put in the elephant, and close the refrigerator?

Wrong Answer.

Correct Answer: Open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant and close the door. This tests your ability to think through the repercussions of your previous actions.

3. The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend.... except one. Which animal does not attend?

Correct Answer: The Elephant. The elephant is in the refrigerator. You just put him in there. This tests your memory.

Okay, even if you did not answer the first three questions correctly, you still have one more chance to show your true abilities.

4. There is a river you must cross but it is used by crocodiles, and you do not have a boat. How do you manage it?

Correct Answer: You jump into the river and swim across. Have you not been listening? All the crocodiles are attending the animal conference. This tests whether you learn quickly from your mistakes.

According to Anderson Consulting Worldwide, around 90% of the professionals they tested got all questions wrong, but many preschoolers got several correct answers. Anderson Consulting says this conclusively disproves the theory that most professionals have the brains of a four-year-old.

To my shame, I got the first two answers right.
Just shows that I don't have what it takes to be a consulting professional!

I wonder how my grandchildren (6, 5 and 3) would fare.
Perhaps I should take consulting lessons from them.

You forgot the 5th question May 5, 2007

Next day there was a funeral in the jungle. Who had died?

The elephant. You had forgotten it in the refrigerator, and it died.

Oh no! May 5, 2007

Thanks for standing up for me Marcelo!

Actually, I posted it the way I got it from a fellow ProZ member (thanks Elisa!).

I don't think I would have dared if I knew about the 5th question!

I'm off to check my fridge, just in case there's a lone elephant desperately banging on the door....

OK, I give in May 5, 2007

The elephant didn't die. Simply one of the crocodiles left the meeting earlier and freed the elephant... but on the way...

My 9-yo daughter got 2 right May 5, 2007

I was so surprised when she answered the last one so matter-of-factly: "Well there are no crocodiles now cause they're all at the lion's party!"
