We have a \"Words of Peace\" billing at the bottom of \"Miscellaneous\".

We are indeed from \"many different countries\" as Monika Coulson notes.

We are therefore each victims of specific conditionings that we need to overcome - nay \"trespass\" to become an efficient medium.

Perhaps a distinction is in order between \"controversial\" and \"insulting\".

We need the controversy to grow; only flame wars with salvos will make us smaller.

Or should we just remove the \"Words of Peace\"?

I will sign the Words of Peace immediately Feb 7, 2003

But what happens when your (in general, not you personally Arthur) perceiption of peace is different than mine?

The moment a general peace statement is apllied to a certain conflict, it will automatically become a political statement, which has no justification on being here.

Why should we start anything political here, when there is so much more room for it on the www?

Where does it stop?

Globalization, cruelty to animal

Globalization, cruelty to animals, Palestinians, Israelis, Muslims?

The site\'s Mission Statement outlines what we have set ourselves to here.

Note that there is nothing about solving any problem not related to language. That is because we have decided to leave politics to the politicians. As for the Words of Peace, that is also us leaving things to the professionals.

I am closing

I am closing the thread. Again, Arthur: please, don\'t use ProZ.com as a political platform.

Thanks.
