As winter crawls to its melting end, Iranians everywhere begin to prepare for the grandest Persian festival of all, marking the beginning of the new solar year. This year, the Persian New Year of 1382 begins on Thursday, March 20, 2003 (Friday, Farvardin 1, 1382).
The exact times for the begining of 1382 (for selected time zones) are as follows:
Tehran, Iran: 4:29 AM on Friday 1st of Farvardin, 1382.
Pacific Time 5:00 PM PST Thursday 20th of March, 2003.
