Not every sign shown on the site is interesting from the lingustic point of view, but quite a few are...

Thank your for posting, I have been collecting signs Feb 15, 2008

Started with apostrophes (blu's, Lunch,s, tatu's), but, even without the odd apostrophe, some signs and graffiti have meanwhile proved irresistable.

Like the indirect reminder to be polite

Great site.

For added fun Feb 16, 2008

I haven't tried this, but I am sure it could deliver even greater amusement in terms of "sh*t in, sh*t out.."

whereishere.net makes me want to cry! Feb 16, 2008

I did click on the whereishere.net link and browsed around a bit. I am sad to report that most of the people who propose translations there use MT. There is one question in particular where three different users suggested the exact same, by the way unfortunate, translation. Now, all that is left to figure out is what kick these "translators" are getting out of this. No points to win, no money to win, no recognition to win - nothing. Might as well leave it alone.

Yours,

Viktoria, sick and tired of MT being (mis)used
