I am a researcher for the Gallup Leadership Institute. We have many international students. One of our goals is to promote a global mindset. In a recent class, students described concepts, (or words that described concepts) that were difficult to translate into other cultures. By concepts, I also mean an aesthetic, interpersonal phenomenon, emotion or philosophy. The idea that a concept was difficult or almost impossible to translate was eyeopening and culturally humbling for everyone. Words like Wabi-Sabi and Zeitgeist were used. Any ideas or favorites?

In your link Henry D mentions that the topic is an extension of his \"untranslatables\" topic.

Is there a way for me to find his original \"untranslatables\" topic?

Thanks Sincerely
David
