Hi

I just had to buy a new computer as my old one was beyond repair. I had no problem copying all my software and Word, Excel and PP-files etc from my external hard drive, which contains a full backup of my old computer's hard drive, to my new PC. But I have no idea how to get all the emails I used to keep in Outlook across to my new computer. Can anyone help? Both my old and my new computer have Windows XP Professional and MS Office 2003.

Thanks

Sonja

try this Feb 23, 2009

In Outlook on your old computer:

1. Click on File
2. Click on Data File Management
3. Click on "Open Folder"
4. Copy outlook.pst

In Outlook on your new computer:

1. Click on File
2. Click on Data File Management
3. Click on "Add"
4. Locate outlook.pst

Hope that helps.

Thanks it worked Feb 23, 2009

Dear Lutz

Thanks. I copied the file as per your instruction but then used the Import feature in Outlook on my new computer and it worked well. I have now all my old emails back.
