How to unlock a graph in Excel

Hi, all! I've been working for several weeks with a couple of authors who keep sending me their graphs in an Excel file. Each time, I have not been able to manipulate the graphs.

The latest iteration, I can either click inside the graph and access the "innards" of a box, and overwrite the text. But sometimes it works and other times it doesn't.

Whenever I have to translate text in images I prefer presenting it in a tabular form i.e. giving Source & Target language text side by side
