Hi there!

I am working with Powerpoint 2007 since a few days, but until now I have not found a way to change the title of the sheets. I just cannot enter in that text. Even changing to master view, it does not work. I am not sure about the right expression in english, I am talking about the line situated on the upper side of the sheets, in which appears the same text on every sheet.

I hope you see, what I mean???

Regards, Sabine

Header Apr 27, 2010

I think you are talking about the 'header' ('en tête') of the document - which appears the same on each page but is not in the body of the text.

I work with PPT XP, so I'm not sure if this is exactly the same - but it must be along the same lines.

In my French version you click on "Affichage" on the tool bar, then select "En tête et pied de page". This should give you access to the text to edit it.

Hope this helps!

Merci! Apr 27, 2010

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, this does not workicon_frown.gif.
In XP it worked like this, I know.
Perhaps the header is not a header in this case? Finally, you never know, how your clients create their files.....

It could be an object Apr 27, 2010

If you cannot edit it, it may be an object. You would need to edit the object and reinsert it.

This has worked for me on certain occasions:

Click on the title,
Copy the image or save it as whatever.jpg
Open PaintBrush
Paste the image or Open whatever.jpg
Click on the eraser on the left panel
Use the eraser to erase the words
Click on the A on the left panel
Type the translated text
Right-click the mouse
Copy the image
Go to the presentation
Click and Erase the title
Paste the image you translated and copies from PaintBrush
