I have problem with my microsoft word and search bar

Hi!
When ever i open microsoft word and after using for like 15-30 minutes i notice that it starts typing some weird stuff which i was not intending to type
and same happens in search bar
plz help me!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you provide more details, including the operating system, Word version, etc.? Also, which search bar are you referring to - MS Internet Explorer? (If so, which version?)

What "weird things" are being typed there?

I am using windows XP home edition
It is microsoft word 2000
and internet explorer 6.0
When i open word i start typing after some while it starts type
"a boy went.... and he came home....."
and keeps on doing that
i am very confussed same thing goes with search bar
what do you think problem can be?

When did you run your last virus/worm check? Jan 20, 2004

Hi Hassnein,
From what you describe, this could by a virus or worm - but I cannot be certain about it.

Assuming that you are using antivirus software:

- When did you last update your virus definitions?

- When did you last test your system for viruses/worms?

i been working on a laptop that has word/excel with same problem.

but it insted types "who new" or "who where"

after 5 or 6 keys have been typed...
i ve looked all over the net for a fix for this problem...
scanned it with 3 or 4 diffrent virus scanners(norton,F-prot,mcAfee,Avp)

and they found nothing..

it doesnt do it at first... it will start anywhere from 5 minutes to 40 after windows boots up..
did anyone hee have any luc... See more
