An interesting one, this:
I have about 30 Word docs where there are plenty of dates in US style (Month/Day/Year), and i'd like to change them in each doc into Euro style dates (Day/Month/Year).
Is there any smart way to do it using global Find & Replace?
Thanks, Doron

Should work

Replace With:
\2/\1/\3
or
\2-\1-\3
Cheers, Gerard

An idea

The replacement that Gerard suggested should work. Haven't you forgotten to check the "Use Wildcard" checkbox in Find and Replace window?
As for global replacement, if you mean you wish to transform the dates in all the 30 Word files in a single step, I think it is only possible with a macro.
István

Sorted - it was a Heb-specific issue

Thanks Istvan and Gerard, apparently, after much experimenting, it appeared a Hebrew-specific (or BiDi-specific) issue.
The\2/\1/\3 did work, but was dislaying the date the other way round (2005/6/25). So I added "English (US)" as another filter to both fields (Find ; Replace with) and now it's perfect.
Many thanks, I'm going to use that Word reference a lot!
