Hi all,

this surely is an easy question but I don't seem to be able to find a solution. I just want to write 18/4 in Excel but it keeps on changing this into 18.04.2004 - how can I teach it to leave what I wrote? As far as I could see this is not covered by any help-file...

Thanks in advance for your help!

Charlotte

You saved me a lot of troubleicon_smile.gif

@ Bob: I tried that one before but as soon as I cleared the ' (or whatever else) the date re-appeared so unfortunately it was useless.

@ Juan: Your tip did the trick!
