I have an embedded Excel spreadsheet in Word. I have translated the whole spreadsheet and now I cannot see any of the changes.

Does anyone have any idea what has happened?

Are they linked? Sep 1, 2005

Is there an actual link between Word and Excel, through the embedded sheet?

For an embedded sheet to be automatically updated in Word when you modify the actual Excel sheet, it needs to be "pasted with link" (under Paste Special) into Word.

Besides copy and pasting again what you have translated into Word, I'm not sure how to fix it...

What do you mean by "translated" - actually overwriting the Excel cells with the translated text, or anything else?

I did overwrite the Excel cells. Apparently the Excel table has somehow gotten corrupted. I may have to do it all over again after cutting and pasting the original file back in.

Hard to say Sep 1, 2005

without knowing what actually happened.

Do you translate "by hand" or do you use a CAT tool?
