PRoblem with fonts in Word when opening/pasting a document

Hi,
Mi PC is doing something really weird lately, sometimes, when I paste or open a document in word all the Spanish accents or letters like "ñ" change and insted I only see arab, japanese or greek signs. It does not always do it, only sometimes, ut it is quite a pain in the neck. Has this ever happened to anyone else, do you know how to solve it.
I have cheked the language installed (control pannel) in the system and it's Spanish.

Your computer may be infected by a virus.
Five or six years ago I experienced something similar using word and it was a virus.
