I read an earlier thread mentioning Jaws PDF Editor as a good option for editing and annotating PDF files. Nitro PDF also seems to wide-spread on the net too and has also received good reviews. Does anyone have any positive/negative experiences to share on either of the two programs?

Am using it 99% of the time to print PDFed invoices and such. Occasionally a conversion to DOC ...

I agree. I recommend Nitro PDF too. I use it on a daily basis to combine different file types into PDf, convert the odd PDF to Word format and apply stamps & watermarks. Been using it for the last 6 months without a problem...
