I am trying to use omegaT with both japanese and french but the app does not seem to be willing to display both languages simultaneously.

It looks like an encoding (locale ?) recognition problem.

I have been in touch with the developper about this issue but I would like to know if other proz members have experiences similar problems.

I installed omegaT on a os 10.2 ibook as well as on a w98 thinkpad and both have troubles displaying japanese correctly.

Waiting for your comments and/or suggestions.

Sincerly,

JC Helary

I have no idea why this post has surfaced after 5 years and a half...

Anyway, OmegaT at this time had issues with font selection and/or conflicting character sets (ie I am not sure it supported Unicode back then) and all the issues have been fixed since then.

Funny to see that I still had W98 on my (now dead) ThinkPad...
