My daughter XXX is a speech therapist at an elementary school here in Atlanta. This year, the school organizes an international spring festival and my daughter is in charge of the games committee, which is where your help comes in:
Her idea is to show or present as many countries as possible through games and different ideas of how to play, and what to play.
Games: do you remember any games you played as a kid or with your kids or friends. I have attached some German games to give you an example of her idea. Feel free to pass them on to your friends or kids, or even play them yourself.
Birthday/party themes: Do you remember your favorite birthday party or just plain party or theme or one you did for somebody else? Or one you have heard about? Anything different than a fireman or princess theme. In conjunction with the games, XXX hopes to use one of your party theme ideas, create the decorations accordingly and display together with the flag of your country. It could also be an example of a typical party in your country. Germany, for example, celebrates carnival in a big way. Everybody, young and old, dresses up, dances on the street and at parties for an extended period of time. The US celebrates Halloween and 4th of July. I personally believe, the weirder the theme, the more interesting or funny it would be.
Z gory dziekuje! Basia
