... on most days, although if necessary I may work for up to 12 hours.
I also use my computers for leisure purposes (listening to the radio, reading online news or proz forums etc, or watching TV, skype chats) so I may not be working all of that time.

I use my computer not only for work, but it's my only source of home entertainment: music, movie watching, etc. I don't have a TV, so I watch YouTube and rent movies from iTunes. I also spend time on Facebook chatting with my friends, exchanging videos, and so on. And I occasionally call friends who live in the USA on Skype. It's so funny to think that I used to need all those pieces of equipment to entertain myself! Plus, being able to stay home and work at the computer is a great thing. And mine is a MacBook, so it's portable. Yay.

For translating, about 8 | Aug 23, 2010 |
I try not to spend more than 8 hours a day translating, because otherwise I get brain fog.
I also use the computer for my landscape design classes and business, including AutoCAD, which is very time-consuming. I have a new 64-bit computer for that.
And then there's e-mail, news feeds, speeches by President Obama, Facebook, television programs I have missed - and oh yes, some occasional games to keep my mind sharp. I still use the TV to watch movies but rarely have time for them.
The only force strong enough to pull me away from the screen is my doggies. Who knows what life would be like if they didn't come to remind me that they need to be walked, fed, and played with? | | | xxxInterlangue Angola Local time: 09:59 English to French + ... average of ± 14 hours | Aug 24, 2010 |
