Don`t you feel Apr 12, 2013

you have to say something to a wider audience?

BTW, isn`t it a powerful marketing tool to attract new clients?

To be quite honest... Apr 12, 2013

no, I don't.

Besides, I have a life which I like to spend away from the computer.

Mine has a section on translation and some general philosophy, but it's mainly about my book, "Finding My Invincible Summer." The link is:

But nothing to do with translation.
If you're interested in palindromic poems (perhaps an interesting example of untranslatability)...

No, but occasionally I wish I had one, so I could sound off about things in general. For example, yesterday I was thinking about how irritating it is that you never find "translator" as an option as profession in the tick boxes when filling in forms, and wished I had somewhere to post my peeve...

However, I already spend enough time sitting in front of the computer actually working and I'm not interested in "marketing tools", no matter how powerful, so, like many other things, I'll leave it on the backburner for the foreseeable future.

I have a website, and I thought adding a blog could be nice, then I realized how beautiful life is when you switch off the computer.....

yes but a personal one Apr 12, 2013

Only to post some pictures for my close family and friends who live far away (I don't use FB!) and I don't spend much time on it.
I totally agree with Inkwaver and John: I prefer to stay away from my computer and any type of screen as much as possible once work is over!

What happened to the interesting questions I submitted to this poll?
- Anyone has the same experience?

Yes - well, sort of... Apr 12, 2013

I provide a weekly summary of the things I've translated, things I've learnt and any cultural events I've attended at: http://www.ianmansbridge.co.uk/news-2/

It would probably look like all the other blogs I don't follow...
Though a few are well worth a visit now and then.

I spread my ideas around as it is, and people find me. I am not systematic enough to run a worthwhile blog.

I too spend plenty of time by the computer already...
