¿What is this "vacation" time of which you speak, sir?

My daughter is coming over for a long weekend in June, but apart from that I'll just play it by ear, as usual.

Haven't thought about it yet Apr 9, 2017

I'm in the middle of a six-week translation job and I'm committed to another client through June. Spring has sprung; life is good. I don't need to "get away from the daily grind."

Haven't thought about it yet! Apr 9, 2017

I take quite often a few days off here and there between jobs but this is the first free weekend I've had in a while (since early December) and I expect next week to be very calm because of Easter. Anyway, I'll just play it by ear, as usual.

planned till September. Apr 9, 2017

Having kids and a wife who needs to submit her vacation plan well in advance, we have already planned our vacation until September.
This way we have saved a bit of money thanks to some offers for those who reserve well in advance.

Yes Apr 9, 2017

That is taking 1 - 2 weeks off in September, but taking my laptop with me. Therefore, it can't be called a vacation, only time away from home.

No, Apr 9, 2017

but I have signed up for a couple of translators' conferences. Real summer vacation I have not planned on; it will probably just be a few days here and there. Like someone else mentioned, being a freelancer you are not so desperate to get out a daily grind.

No Apr 10, 2017

I can't really plan vacations. The best time would be from December to February, as the volume of work is lower, but it's also when the prices for tourism as doubled. So, let's see...
