Training of a new team member started today in our office. I love training people, so I was really eager to start working today!

When I woke up this morning I knew it was Wednesday, but somehow by mid-morning I had convinced myself it was Thursday and I was that much closer to the weekend. Imagine my disappointment when I realised it was really only Wednesday. It was like that feeling you get when you’ve had a really great dream (you dream you win the lottery or something like that) and then wake up and realise it was only a dream. You even look under your pillow to see if the winning ticket is there.

Tomorrow, I’ll double-check my calendar.

sleepy and feeling rushed ... Sep 26, 2007

so, what do I do? I go to the ProZ poll, read all my extraneous e-mails, and do anything else I can to avoid getting started. The cloud will pass soon enough

Enthusiastic, what can't be solved must be endured, and I'm not working these days.

I'm moving to another house and I've got plenty of things to do and to worry. I've been into a lot of stress this week.

stressed... Sep 26, 2007

...but not because of translation-related issues, I just have a lot going on right now and the phone's been my worst enemy since yesterday afternoon

Translation-wise I was relaxed & enthusiastic (I just love what I do, I'm that lucky)

Bored... Sep 26, 2007

because today I haven't really done any translating at all ... except for helping out with a couple of proz queries. Around 11 am I sorted out an invoice error from last month which took me all of 5 minutes, then answered a mail from a client who (praise be!) is sending me work on Friday, deadline Monday (hey John, what's a "weekend"?). In the afternoon (post siesta) I reviewed a 1-page press release for a friend (no charge), which is the sum of my efforts so far.

Maybe mañana something more meaty will come in...
