Hi all, I'm here in Brazil and a Spanish agency has posted a job for which they require the above certificate for those applying from outside the EU. Can anyone tell me what this is and which government dept in Brazil issues these. I have never been asked for one before even though most of my work is for companies in Europe or the US. Hello Ward, IMO the request is clear: they want evidence that you pay your taxes in Brazil, so that they can safely pay you the amount agreed, without deducting any Spanish or EC tax whatsoever. Depending on who is getting paid, yourself or your company, a scanned copy of your CPF or CNPJ, respectively, should be adequate. If you want to gild the lily, you may obtain onli... Its called a CERTIDÃO CONJUNTA NEGATIVA DE DÉBITOS RELATIVOS AOS TRIBUTOS FEDERAIS E À DÍVIDA ATIVA DA UNIÃO I was able to enter my CPF and CNPJ online and print it straight out.
