La Tasca May 13, 2008

Hi Trini. La Tasca in the Brewery Quarter is very good - I go there quite often (not sure what a native Spaniard would think of it, but I reckon it's pretty authentic!).

Booking La Tasca May 14, 2008

Hi everyone. As the number of people interested in attending is growing, I think it would be better to book a table at the chosen restaurant (La Tasca?) because it might be very busy at lunchtime on a Saturday.

I would suggest booking a table for 1 pm. Once there, we can allow half an hour for late-comers but after that, eating will oficially start!

To answer your question, Elin, I would need to know the final numbers a few days before the 31st, say by Wednesday/Thursday. I will post a reminder here closer to the date, but will assume that those that have confirmed their attendance will actually come, unless they specifically tell me otherwise.

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

La Tasca set menus to choose from May 28, 2008

Hi everyone,

I have phoned La Tasca in order to book the table for Saturday and because we are a large number, they require us to choose between 3 set menus (but we all have to have the same one), which you can have a look at here: http://79.170.40.55/latasca.co.uk/images/stories/file/Party_menu/Party_Menu_A.pdf.

I suggest the "Menú Valenciano" (the £14.95 one) but I'll go with the majority.

We also have to pay a £5 deposit per person which I'm happy on everybody's behalf but I need to be 100% sure that the number is correct, otherwise we will lose that money.

Right now, I have counted 12 people: that is the 11 people who have confirmed their attendance here plus Susanna Garcia's plus one. There are 3 people who have not confirmed yet, so it would good if they could let me know today whether they will be able to come along.

Thanks a lot!

Trini

Menu Valenciano May 28, 2008

Hi Trini,

I'm with you on this. I've been there with a party before, we had the first menu and we all had to stop off at the chippy on the way home as it included 1 chicken wing per person, 1 slice of chorizo, etc. But as you say, if the majority would rather do that, I don't mind.

See you Saturday.

Menu Valenciano May 28, 2008

Hi Trini, I'm with you and Victoria, the Menu Valenciano is fine - but I would also go with the majority. May I just ask you to order 2 portions in my name as my family will be with me (my husband and my two-year old). Sorry, this means you have to pay £10 deposit for me... Let me know if that's not okay. See you Saturday Daniela

La tasca booking May 29, 2008

Hi again,

Thank you Victoria, Daniela, Michael and Susanna for confirming your attendance and that you are happy with the "Menú valenciano".

I'm going to proceed with the booking today but I would be grateful if those of you who have confirmed attendance here could also write to me, just to be on the safe side.

As far as I could understand, the £5 deposit would only need to be paid if somebody actually doesn't turn up, so it's very important that we get the number right.

Thanks again!

Table booked at La Tasca for 1 pm on Saturday May 29, 2008

Hi again,

I have now booked the table for 1 pm in La Tasca on Saturday.

The booking is on my name and it's for 10 people, although the total confirmed people plus 2 guests is 12. I have done this because I had to pay a deposit of £5 per person which will be lost if somebody fails to turn up and not everybody has confirmed yet. Also, they have assured me that it won't be a problem if 12 people actuallly turn up on Saturday.

Please get in touch with me if you have any problems. My mobile number is 07951 230019.

Looking forward to meeting you all on Saturday!
