Summer Powwow in Montreal, Canada Jan 3

Hi all,
I am organizing a Powwow this Summer on June 23rd in Montreal, Canada. This will be a coming-together for most translators in the city and the biggest opportunity for each of us to discover the faces behind our profiles and have fuuuuuun.
I look forward to having you all around.

Is St-Jean Baptiste Weekend the best time for a PowWow? Jan 4

Hi Ynes,
It's a great idea to have a ProZ Powwow but I wonder if the Fête Nationale long weekend is the best time to schedule it.

Hi Joshua,
I am glad you already showed interest in this Powwow.
You are definitely right, but the Fête Nationale is on Sunday. We can organize our Powwow early enough on Saturday to let people go home and meet their families or friends.
Do not also forget it will mark the beginning of Summer and it will only be a matter of few hours of networking and fun.
Do you think you can give us 1 to 2 hours of your time that day? We will be glad to have you around and learn from you.
However, we can still shift the date to June 30 depending on the availability of the majority.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Ynes

Josuah has a point. I would agree with you if the meeting was held on Friday afternoon, but on Saturday? C'est une chance à prendre! Et de même pour le 30.

Salut Germaine,

Ynes

What about a week prior? Jan 14

Instead of going one week after as it's Canada Day Weekend, why not look at a week prior?

Whatever you decide, please let me know ASAP as I have a flight to book from the Dominican Republic.

Gracias!

Hi Sylvie,

Welcome on board, actually Summer begins on June 21, so if we organize it one week prior it will no longer be a Summer Powwow.

Cheers,

Gracias!
