Japanese to English

I am English-Japanese bilingual and have just started working for a city hall in Japan. As it is just a short term contract (2 years) and I would like to move into freelance translation once my contract finishes, I would like to try and get some sort of certification in the mean time. I am working full time, so this would have to be a correspondence course, and preferably on the short side (up to 6 months).
In particular I would be interested to move into the field of technical / scientific translation.

Is there anyne out there who has done a course like this?
Is there anyone out there who can recommend a course?

Thank you to everyone in advance.

Sam

Sunglobal's correspondence course Jul 9, 2008

Hi Sam,

How about Sunglobal's correspondence course? Their website is Japanese only though.
http://upskill.jp/

If you live near Tokyo, you can join July 26 Powwow and ask fellows about some other excellent correspondence courses.

Hope this helps.
