As some of you already know, the SSA (Swiss writers' assocation) holds a competition every year to award three translation grants for plays written by Swiss authors or writers residing in Switzerland, into German, French or Italian.

The terms for participation in 2009 were released this month. For more information, see:

I see also the translators must be residing in Switzerland. It's a pity.

This is one of those national programmes, like the NEA in the States. In this case, even a bit more limited - one of the applicant parties (writer or translator) must be an SSA member.

However, the mission of this forum is precisely that of making this kind of information available, in case anyone wants to take advantage of them.
